My treatment specialty centers on supporting women in their emotional, spiritual, mental, and relational well-being. I help women navigate and heal from everyday experiences of anxiety and depression, while also guiding them through deeper healing from trauma—whether spiritual, emotional, mental, or relational.
Many of the women I work with have shared that their trauma makes them feel “crazy.” I want you to know: you are not crazy. What you’ve experienced is your mind and body doing their best to protect you—to survive emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Together, we’ll explore those protective patterns with compassion and understanding, and begin the journey toward healing.
In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia, I hold a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. I’m passionate about working at the intersection of mental health and faith, where deep emotional healing and spiritual growth can coexist.
I promise to honor your belief system and hold space for your own faith journey. I promise never to try to 'fix' you. I promise to listen with compassion and without judgement. I promise to walk beside of you on your journey to understanding, healing and wholeness. I am easy-going and move at the pace with which you are comfortable. We collaborate every step of the way. Your treatment goals are your own and I will work with you to achieve those goals.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. I also hold a Master of Divinity, which informs my holistic approach to care—addressing not just the mind and emotions, but the whole person. I offer individualized outpatient counseling with a special focus on women’s mental health. Drawing on evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I work with clients to heal from trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. I believe that true healing happens when we tend to the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

Your first therapy session is mostly about getting to know each other and setting the foundation for future work. You can expect your therapist to ask questions about why you’re seeking therapy, your current concerns, and some background about your life, relationships, and history. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions, share your goals, and get a sense of whether the therapist feels like a good fit for you.
The pace is usually gentle—there’s no pressure to share everything at once. Your therapist will likely explain how therapy works, discuss confidentiality, and outline what you can expect going forward. Think of it as the beginning of a collaborative process, where you're both working together to understand what’s going on and how to support your growth and healing.
It's totally normal to feel a little nervous, but many people feel some relief just from starting the process.

Mostly, yes. Therapists are legally and ethically bound to keep your information private. However, there are exceptions—for example, if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others, or in cases of abuse involving a minor or vulnerable person.
It varies. Some people go for a few sessions to deal with a specific issue, while others attend for months or even years for deeper work. Your goals and progress will guide the length.
A good fit feels supportive, respectful, and safe. You should feel listened to and understood. If something feels off, it’s okay to bring it up or even try another therapist—finding the right match is important.
